Visiting Boulder Colorado

Hotels in Boulder

The St Julien Hotel

900 Walnut Street (map)
(720) 406-9696
Website

The St Julien Hotel and Spa is the most luxurious place to stay in Boulder. Located several blocks from the Pearl Street Mall, many of the well-appointed St Julien rooms offer fantastic views of the Boulder flatirons. (Be certain to ask for a mountain view when booking.)

Live music — including spirited salsa bands — play on the back terrace during warm weather, and attract large crowds of local dancers. The in-house St Julien spa offers a variety of services, including deep-tissue massage for outdoor-active visitors. The two ground floor bars are a great place to mingle with travelers and locals. If you want to maximize your comfort while in Boulder, the St Julien is the place to stay.

Embassy Suites by Hilton | The Hilton Garden

2601 Canyon Boulevard | 2701 Canyon Boulevard (map)
(855) 605-0319 | (303) 443-2200
Website | Website

The new-ish (2017) Embassy Suites and Hilton Garden hotels on Canyon and 28th are two of the most modern-styled hotels in Boulder. Big, open, and airy, the Embassy Suites is slightly more luxurious (and expensive) than the Hilton Garden next door. The Pearl Street mall is a 15-20 minute walk away. The CU Boulder campus and football stadium are roughly the same distance, down Folsom Street. The hotels share a rooftop pool. If you don't need to be right off Pearl Street, these spots are worth considering.

The Boulderado Hotel

2115 13th Street (map)
(303) 442-4344
Website

The historic Hotel Boulderado is over 100 years old, and was Boulder's first luxury hotel. Located one block from the Pearl Street mall, the Boulderado is the most centrally-located place to stay in Boulder. Victorian furnishings, stained glass lobby ceilings, and plenty of dark, polished wood give the Boulderado a cozy Western elegance.

The hotel's Spruce Farm and Fish Restaurant serves brunch and dinner. If you're seeking a taste of old-fashioned Colorado charm, the Boulderado captures the spirit of the state better than any other hotel in the area. Note that the hotel features both "historic" and "modern" sections — be sure to state your preference when you book a room.

Additional Chain Hotels

There are several other chain hotels in Boulder. Centrally-located options include the popular Boulder Marriott at 2660 Canyon Boulevard, just across the street from the Embassy Suites and Hilton Garden; and the Hyatt Place Boulder near Pearl and 30th. You'll probably want a car to get to the Pearl Street mall if you stay at the Hyatt.

Up in the northern Gunbarrel section of Boulder is the Hampton Inn hotel at 6333 Lookout Road, a 15-minute drive away from downtown. Most national chains also feature hotels and motels in the neighboring towns of Longmont, Superior, Lafayette, or Louisville.
